Haiti
This is extremely difficult to see, but so, SO important. It’s moving to see the effects of the quake on a more personal level, and this had a much stronger affect on me than any of the statistics or photographs of rubble could ever have. Hopefully I’m not the only one. Please spread this.
Be warned, the content is VERY graphic

UPDATE: this is the correct flyer. I made a typo on jonny’s full name and the contact number. please re-blog this flyer, as it is the corrected version. sorry for the mix up.

Last update from FW8. The equestrian center eventually morphed into hanging out for a few days with a horseshoer. We lucked out, and he ended up being a purist, using nothing but a forge, a hammer, and nails to make his shoes. He’s won several national competitions for the trade and has worked at it for 16 years.
I got blasted in the face with molten iron.

Here, have a slice of disappointment
Battery died before I could move to the other side and reshoot. Weaksauce

I had the opportunity to photograph the Granny Globetrotters, a 65+ basketball team from Dallas last Tuesday. They’re good.
Real good.
This past week has absolutely awesome. I was fortunate enough to attend the Foundation Workshop in Dallas, and learn from the very best of the best. A huge, HUGE thank you to Matt Mendelsohn, DeAnne FitzMaurice, and Jennifer Domenick for all the help, as well as GG for including me.
Over the next few days, I’ll be posting a handful of photographs from each of my assignments. Anyway…here are some horses!
